World Freshwater Spearfishing Championships Documentary
Competitors from around the world gather at Lake Powell, AZ
In May, 2023 the World Freshwater Spearfishing Championships were held on Lake Powell in Arizona. Teams from around the world competed and we were there to capture the action and create a documentary of the event.

The tournament consisted of two days of competition. Day 1 was game fish, competitors got 3 points for every walleye, catfish, or striper they shot. Day 2 was rough fish. Competitors shot as many carp as they could find, and received 1 point per fish. All together, competitors speared roughly 4,000 pounds of invasive carp on day 2! Team Tres Leches came away with the victory with 230 points.
